Dorian Leljak graduated from the Academy of Arts (Novi Sad), and received his DMA from Yale University under Boris Berman. Professor of Piano at the University of Novi Sad and Teacher at the RCM (London), he has presented masterclasses for the University of Pretoria, South-African Association of Piano Teachers, Conservatoire de Namur, University of Missouri-Columbia, University of Hartford, Syracuse University, Dollarhide’s Music Center, Petrovaradin Fortress on the Danube Academy, EPTA Summer School, Anton Bruckner Universität, Brandon University and University of Lincoln-Nebraska. He is the Artistic Director of the International Isidor Bajic Piano Memorial Competition, President of EPTA Voyvodina and Southeast Europe Representative of the ABRSM. He is the winner of the Novi Sad Piano Competition, and of the Sergei Rachmaninov Competition (Belgrade).
Dorian Leljak performs extensively as a recitalist, chamber musician and with orchestras including the Windstrings Orchestra, Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonics, Belgrade Radio Orchestra, Voyvodina Philharmonia, St. George Strings, Dushan Skovran Orchestra. In May 2000, he had his Carnegie Hall and Boston Symphony Orchestra Hall debuts. His chamber music collaborations focused on piano duo with Ninoslav Zivkovic. Dorian Leljak is appearing at international music festivals such as “Celebrating the Piano Recital Series” (Calgary), “Charles Ives Festival” (New Haven), “NOMUS Festival” (Novi Sad), and “City-Theatre“(Budva). He is the recipient of the University of Novi Sad awards for the top-notch artistic achievements, Melanie Bugarinovich Award, and prizes/scholarships given by the YSM - Mary Clapp Howell, Irving Gilmore and Parisot Prizes. He is named the Artist-of-the-Year by the Belgrade Radio.
Frequently adjudicating international piano competitions, Dr. Leljak has been invited as a juror for the Cleveland International Piano Competition (2009).
